Our Mission to Empower
Dream Beyond Abuse was founded by LeNora Harrison, a Registered Nurse and survivor of domestic abuse, with the mission of creating a safe and supportive space for individuals and families facing violence and crisis. Through both her personal journey and years in healthcare, LeNora witnessed the lasting impact abuse has on survivors and the need for compassionate, trauma-informed support.
What began as a local vision has grown into a trusted nonprofit dedicated to providing confidential advocacy, crisis assistance, resource connections, and genuine care. At Dream Beyond Abuse, every survivor is met with dignity, understanding, and the belief that healing, hope, and renewal are possible.

How We Make a Difference
Crisis
When life feels overwhelming and safety is uncertain, immediate crisis support can be a lifeline. Our team provides round-the-clock, confidential assistance - ensuring survivors receive swift intervention, compassionate guidance, and access to emergency shelter or services whenever they need it most.
Advocacy
Navigating the aftermath of abuse can feel confusing and isolating. We walk alongside survivors with individualized advocacy, helping them understand their rights, coordinate resources, prepare safety plans, and regain confidence as they rebuild each aspect of their lives with strengthened support.
Education
True healing extends beyond individuals to shape resilient, hopeful communities. Our workshops, outreach programs, and campaigns empower neighbors, schools, and workplaces to recognize, prevent, and address domestic violence - reducing stigma while fostering empathy and action for meaningful change.
